Ceramic braces are used for the same purpose as metal braces but are made of clear or tooth-colored ceramic material. Many clients, especially adults, opt for ceramic braces over metal braces because they are less obvious. This may be appealing if you need braces but do not want to feel self-conscious or embarrassed about having them.
Self-ligating braces are a comprehensive, aesthetic and technologically advanced approach to braces. Self-ligating brackets utilize a permanently installed, moveable component, or “door”, to hold the archwire in place, eliminating the need for an elastic ligature (bands or ties). The use of this “door” reduces the amount of pressure exerted on the teeth. Self-ligating brackets feature a low profile design and smooth curves for optimum comfort and improved appearance. The brackets are designed to be easier to clean and aim to reduce treatment time and provide fewer and faster adjustment appointments, while providing the control required for optimal orthodontic results.
Invisalign and in-house 3D printed clear aligners are a clear and simple way to straighten your teeth. Your teeth are straightened using a series of clear, custom, removable aligner trays. These types of appliances are generally used in the treatment of less extensive problems.
